Jurong Point touched the hearts of many through a tribute video that went viral within hours in 2015. This Mother’s Day, the mall embarks to capture that feeling again through a series of activities on Sunday, 8 May 2016 designed to encourage mother-child bonding.
From now till 7 May 2016, children of all ages can participate by posting a 30 seconds video expressing their love and appreciation for their mums on a dedicated microsite mumiloveyou.com.sg.
5 winners with the most heart-warming videos will be selected and invited to Jurong Point where they will each walk away with $200 worth of Jurong Point shopping vouchers. In addition, the top winner will be treated to a Mother’s Day meal worth $288. The submitted videos will be shared and displayed on two large high definition screens located at Jurong Point Centre Stage and Artwalk which will be dressed up for the occasion on 8 May 2016.
The Artwalk transforms the space connecting the corridor between Jurong Point 1 and Jurong Point 2, housing three-dimensional (3D) art exhibits that were inspired by historic times. Titled “Play Mahjong with the Creators”, “3-wheeled-Cab”, and “Teh-For-Two”, these three art exhibits bring reminiscence of the local lifestyle and provide creative photo opportunities for shoppers young and old.
For this one-day only event from 12 noon to 3pm, the art exhibits will ‘come alive’, bringing about interactive activities for family shoppers to enjoy. These include a ‘Match-and-Win Mahjong Memory Game’, Teh Tarik giveaways and a first of its kind in-mall trishaw ride for shoppers to travel in style within the mall.
